Thank you for visiting Capital Highways.
I was born and raised in the area and have always had an interest in highways and bridges.
I created this site in 1999 to give people a better understanding about how all the highways around the Capital Region came to be and why.
In 2007, I moved out of the area for better opportunities.
I try to get back to the Capital Region when I can, but living out the area makes it difficult.
While an update to this site is certainly necessary, considering how the area is changing,
I do not see myself updating it in the foreseeable future.
I consider this site more of an archive now than an active website.
I will keep this site up as long as I can to keep the information I have available.
I hope you will appreciate what you find here.
